What The Rival is
When another character in your chart has your element but the opposite yin or yang, it acts like a rival sibling. Its old name, Rob Wealth, comes from the idea that a rival can take your share, so you learn to move first.

Rob Wealth (劫財, Jié Cái) is the more combustible of the two Companion stars. Like Friend, it arises when another element shares the same base as your core element, but Rob Wealth has the opposite yin or yang, and that difference matters enormously. Where Friend is stable and self-contained, Rob Wealth is electric and outward-facing. The name is dramatic and intentional: this energy has a quality of seizing, taking, and disrupting the existing order.
