Content creation process

Our content is written with reference to traditional BaZi texts and principles, adapted for a modern English-speaking audience. We prioritize clarity and accessibility without sacrificing the integrity of the underlying metaphysical framework.

Each archetype description, educational article, and element profile goes through a multi-step process: research against classical BaZi sources, drafting with attention to cultural accuracy, and review for consistency across the entire 40-archetype system.

How we ensure accuracy

BaZi chart calculations use verified Chinese calendar algorithms based on the Sexagenary Cycle and solar term boundaries. We cross-reference multiple traditional sources to ensure that Day Master descriptions, Ten Gods interactions, and element relationships are represented faithfully.

• Five Elements relationships use the standard productive and destructive cycle models
• Solar term boundaries determine month pillar assignments, not Gregorian month divisions
• Hidden stems within Earthly Branches are included in element balance calculations

Use of AI in content creation

We use AI language models to assist with content drafting, translation, and accessibility improvements. All AI-generated content is reviewed and edited by the Elemental Fate team to ensure accuracy, tone consistency, and alignment with classical BaZi frameworks.

The BaZi calculation engine itself does not use AI — it uses deterministic algorithms based on the Chinese calendar. Chart generation, Day Master identification, and element counting are purely algorithmic processes with no machine learning involved.

Content updates

Content is reviewed periodically for accuracy and clarity. When we update archetype descriptions, educational content, or calculation logic, we note the changes with “Last updated” dates on individual pages where applicable. Major methodology changes are documented on our Methodology page.

What our content is not

Our content is not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. BaZi is presented as a traditional personality framework for self-reflection and entertainment, not as a scientifically validated psychological assessment. We do not claim that BaZi can diagnose conditions, predict specific life events, or replace professional guidance in any field.

If you notice an error in our BaZi calculations, archetype descriptions, or educational content, please contact us. We take accuracy seriously and will investigate and correct verified errors promptly. Common areas where errors can occur include:

• Hour Pillar assignment for births at day-change boundaries (11 PM)
• Historical calendar conversion for dates before the Gregorian calendar adoption
