Direct Officer (正官, Zhèng Guān) is the conventional face of authority in BaZi, and by "conventional" I mean that in the most admirable sense. Where Seven Killings achieves by force and intensity, Direct Officer achieves through structure, integrity, and the kind of trustworthiness that allows people to follow you into uncertainty without flinching. This pattern is associated with genuine leadership, the sort that earns authority rather than seizing it, that maintains standards not to prove a point but because standards matter. Direct Officer people are the natural administrators, judges, executives, and public servants who keep institutions functioning when everything else is in flux.
